College English Learing
As English is the most useful tool of communication in the world and one of the most important subjects in school,we go on learning it after entering college.But in a way college English learing is different from that of middle school.That lies in the flowlling aspects.First of all,we learn the phonetic symbols,pronunciations ,as is known as the base of a language learning in junior school.Then we begin to learn new words and expressions and grammar when we enter a senior grade.And grammar is one of the most important part in this period.All teachers and students concentrate on it.
College English learing differs a lot.In college we don't focus on those that are taught in middle school but to attach importance to speaking,listening and comprehension.We'll spend much time pratising our speaking and listening,such as talking with a foreigner constantly.Meanwhile,to enlarge our vocabuary is another important thing in college.We are supposed to grasp as many words as possible in order to meet the great demands of our future work.
To sum up,our English learning never comes to an end.Remember,Never too old to learn.

Educators definitely should be responsible for the inadequacy of College English Education. It is known to all that interest is the best teacher, but a large part of college English teachers underestimate the effect of interest and keep preaching in class. Besides, “language environment” is needed to learn a foreign language and the lack of it in Chinese universities has hindered the student’s English learning.
Some problems of the students’ learning habits is also the source of the inadequacy. Chinese students tend to separate vocabulary memorizing, grammar, listening, speaking, reading, and writing and therefore their English is also “broken” in this way. In addition, they are generally reluctant to practice speaking. This has greatly contributed to the “dumb English” of Chinese students.
The success of the college English education reform requires efforts of both educators and students. The universities should encourage students to speak English in their daily communications and hole more activities with the purpose of promoting students’ speaking of English. Teachers should focus on attracting students with charms and interest of English in their classes. Students should try to be participants of the learning activities rather than passive receptors. Learning English at college is different from learning English at middle school. In middle school, we learn English mainly for the entrance examination for college, while the purpose of learning English at college is quite different. We study foreign languages now to improve our ability to work in the future and especially to communicate with foreiguers.
How can we learn English well at college? Firstly, you should try your best to enlarge your vocabulary. Only in this way can you read more smoothly and understand others well. Secondly, you should pay more attention to the listening and speaking ability in learning English. While talking with foreigners, if you can’t understand them, and do not know how to express yourself, the talking will be very difficult. And the last point is that you should improve your English whenever and wherever you can.
Obviously, there is still a long way for us to go to learn English well. As a proverb says,
