水蒸气是气候变化和全球变暖的重要影响因素
最近,研究人员利用最新的卫星数据,估算水蒸气在空气中的热诱捕能力,从而确认它是气候变化的一个重要因素.这项由美国航天局资助的研究成果已经发表在《地球物理研究快报》上.
研究小组认为,水蒸气也是一种温室气体,因此水蒸气增加将导致气温上升,而气温上升又会导致更多的水蒸气被吸收进大气.
同时,大气中水蒸气的增加将加强二氧化碳所造成的温室效应.该研究小组测算发现,如果地球变暖1.8摄氏度,每平方米增加的水蒸气将陷困住额外2瓦的能量,这等同于把大气中的二氧化碳所造成的温室效应加强了一倍.
该研究的结论是,水蒸气也是气候变化的一个重要因素.
Steam Acts as an Important Factor for Climate Change
Recently,with the latest satellite data,researchers estimated the heat-trapping capacity of steam in air,and thus confirmed that it is an important factor for climate change.
This research results,sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the U.S.(NASA) has been published on Geophysical Research Letters.
The research group held the belief that steam is a kind of greenhouse gas.In other words,the increase of steam will result in temperature rise,which in return makes more steam absorbed into the atmosphere.
At the same time,the increase of steam will strengthen the greenhouse effect caused by carbon emissions.According to the estimation of this research group,if the temperature of the earth rises by 1.8 degree Celsius,the increased vapor per square meter will trap another 2 watts of energy,equaling to double the greenhouse effect caused by carbon dioxide.
The research drew the conclusion that steam is an important factor for climate change.
