or 8.After activation,Eu1 and Eu2 would be activated into
different energy levels,thus resulting in different emission
spectra.Since the crystal structure of Sr2MgSi2O7 is similar
to that of Ca2MgSi2O7,it can be inferred that,when Eu2+
replaces Sr2+ in the Sr2MgSi2O7 host,Eu2+ can also occupy
the different lattice sites with coordination numbers of 6 or
8,which leads to the two different emission peaks.
