5 they 用在这里指代不明,容易被误解为指代understanding和benefits.用the two people
6 dream用复数,必须应翻译为must
整句为：
The true friendship should be based on each other's understanding,rather than on mutual benefits.Also,the two people must have similar dreams too.(外语一般避免一个句子里重复出现一个词,故第二个each other’s应改为mutual,且mutual benefits 为固定搭配.)
不过翻译的更好点应该意译,不拘泥于中文的句式,以下是我的个人意见.
