Moving to a new country is an eye-opening experience. The way society works in other cultures is very different from one's own.One cannot fully understand his/her own culture until he/her has compared it with another that is vastly different. For this reason, moving to a new country to go to school can be of great importance for students who wish to study international relations.
So, I believe that students study away because they are interested in learning about new cultures, learning new languages, or studying specific programs

1.As a Chinese immigrant in the United States, I completely understand the importance of learning English. Either before or after graduation,I have already set up my goal of being a excellent environmental scientist.
2.In order to achieve my future goal, I came to the United States for studying abroad as a high school student.
3.Being a up-coming senior, weekends become much more important for me to have more experiences in social studies such as volunteering, community services and extracurricular activities. They make me feel like I am part of the community and helpful to the society.
4.Fortunately my birthday is on the Christmas day so that everybody on the street can celebrate for me. But in my traditional custom, my family always having dinner with me for my birthday celebration.
5.Actually I am in the summer vacation right now, and what I am doing is to have a summer course on the purpose of improving myself. Besides, I am going to fing a summer job to get more experiences.
6.In China, I liked English so much that made me the top student in my class. After I came here, I realized that I could not like it only, but also have to treat it as my major task regradless any reason. I could not live in this society without knowing any English. As the world becomes more and more modernized and developed, English is an important thing for us to learn so that we can survive in this world no matter where we go.
7.We ought to learn oral English. English writing is not enough at all for us to be good at talking. We cannot communicate with the public by always writing stuff. Oral English make us be more confident and talkative when we face other people.
8.For me, I have come across so many difficulties that I could not remember what exactly they were. Being a second language learner in the United States, I had to work much harder than everybody else because I didn't want to be left behind the track. Furthermore, I made up my mind to be the best in this strange and all-American coutry.

1. One option for me after my graduation is that I would like to going into the teaching field and be a teacher, during my post-graduate years, I had acquired certain amount of knowledge and I would like to share the knowledge that I learnt so far with the others that in need. Thus, I'd like to be a teacher.
2. It is certain that I would like to study abroad one day if the opportunity arise. By going outside of China, I will be able to see many things that are currently not available in China. And this will definitely help me to view the world from another perspective and becoming a wiser person.
3。 During the weekends, I usually take some time to finish my school work first, then, depend on the time, sometimes I just stay in my dorm relax and enjoy some quality time by myself and listen to my favourite music. Some other time, if I feel like playing some games, I would get several friends and we gather in the basketball court and play a half court 3 on 3 ball game.
4. If I'm at school with my friends, I think I will celebrate my birthday with my closest friends. It doesn't have to be a really big birthday party but we definitely will go outside to eat and maybe have a few drinks. On the other hand, if I am at home with my parents, I will spend the time with them as well and try to give as much appreciation as possible to my mom since on the same day of certain years ago she endured all the pains to give me my first and most precious gift to me that is---my life.
5. In the upcoming summer, I am thinking about doing 2 things that will help me in the future. First thing is that I will take a relaxed and joyful break after a long and exhausted year. I believe I worked hard for everything in this year so I deserve a break. Rest is essential when I'm trying to take an even more long term road. In addition, try to organize all the things that I have been done in the past school year. By doing this would help me to learn from all the things that had happened. I can gain tremendous experience, from the past thus make me a better person.
6. I like to study English due to its importance in the mordenm world. English is a worldwide language that used my almost 1/4 population on the earth. As the further growth of the IT industry, the global village will be getting smaller and smaller, and because of that I need to learn English in order for me to get in touch with world. It will help me to stay tuned and get the newest update every time so I won't be outdated and be eliminated in the competition. Beside, by picking up a new language will also help me to be a smarter person since language speaking is a high sophisticated process that brain does, so every time I try to use the new language I am having litter brain storm by myself and this will keep me young and smart.
7. Study oral English is not an option but a MUST. In my opinion, any language without the speaking part is completely useless in a higher level. The purpose for us to study English is to communicate, imagine without the oral English, how can we fluently express our ideas during the communication? There’s just no way to do it. By studying oral English, it will also boost our confidence during our communication with others.
8. There are many difficulties for me when I try to learn English. First is the speaking part, since we are not in an English speaking country, we hardly speak English outside our class room. A second language is really a "use it or lose it" thing, if we don't use it every day we tend to forget some of the things that we learned. On the other hand, an English speaking environment will facilitate our memorization on the language that we learned and even help us to learn new things on the language. Another difficulty for me is the oral part, since English is not my native language, when I try to speak it, I have to translate my thoughts from Chinese into English first and then speak them. This will result in a slower speaking motion and create obstacle on the communication.
