Sleeping next to a 200-foot icefall, walking amongst a colony of 6,000 emperor penguins, and standing at the lowest point on earth... It is certainly everyone's dream trip.
Now wealthy explorers can get to experience their dream trip. Patrick Woodhead's company, White Desert, offers explorers with both money and a sense of adventure an incredible eight-day trip to Antarctica and the South Pole.
The explorers will spend most of their time at "Whichaway Camp" near a beautiful frozen lake. They can overlook a 200-foot ice-fall from their camp, play with lots of cute emperor penguins, ski and climb ice rocks.
Inside the camp, the explorers will sleep in modern sleeping pods that are warm and quiet even in the wildest snowstorm. Each pod includes a double or single bed, a writing desk and a private bathroom.
For eight days, and £46,000 per person, people can penguin-watch, ski and ice climb. It sounds interesting, but is too expensive for ordinary people.
